Do narcotics transport requirements vary by state or facility?
Yes. Controlled substance transport requirements may vary based on state law, facility policy, and accreditation standards. ADVance aligns service configuration to customer SOPs and applicable regulatory requirements.

Chain-of-custody is maintained through documented handoffs, restricted access handling, proof-of-delivery records, and exception reporting. Documentation is retained in accordance with company policy and contract requirements.
moreDo you use secure vehicle safes for narcotics transport?
When required by contract or client policy, ADVance can deploy or support access-controlled vehicle safes using PIN, fingerprint, or card-based access. Safe configuration and access permissions are documented and restricted to authorized personnel.
moreWhat narcotics-related activities does ADVance NOT perform?
ADVance does not dispense, administer, prescribe, repackage, label, inventory, or store controlled substances outside the active transport window. All clinical and pharmacy responsibilities remain with licensed healthcare entities.

Transport of Schedule II medications can be supported when authorized by contract and when appropriate security and custody controls are in place. Service configuration is determined in advance with the customer.

No. DEA registration is required for entities that manufacture, prescribe, dispense, or store controlled substances. As a transport-only courier, ADVance does not engage in these activities and therefore does not hold or require a DEA license.

Yes. Transporting controlled substances as a courier is legally permissible when performed as a transport-only service on behalf of authorized healthcare entities. ADVance does not dispense, administer, prescribe, or store controlled substances beyond the duration of transport.

Any suspected delay or temperature concern is escalated immediately to the designated client contact and documented according to procedure.

Routine laboratory courier transport does not require a standalone federal or third-party cold-chain certification. ADVance provides documented in-house cold-chain awareness training and SOPs.

Cold-Chain Aware means ADVance maintains documented in-house awareness training and written procedures to support temperature integrity during transport of temperature-sensitive laboratory materials. This is not a certification.

After-hours and weekend service is available by arrangement and based on routing and service needs.
